Notes: So, I fail utterly. This should have been one of five stories written for Ancient City Bingo, which should have been submitted by October 31st 2012. This is, in fact, only the second fic I managed in a whole year! It seems I am not cut out for writing to a one-word prompt, as I stared and stared at my grid of 25 words with a mind gone completely blank and then dithered over the two fics I did manage. This one was written for the ‘destination’ square, by the way.

Oh well, it’s fic, so that’s good in the end, right? Other people did not fail, so you should all head on over there to check out the excellent fic and art.

Disclaimer: I do not own Numb3rs or any recognisable characters, places or situations contained within this story and I have made no money from it.
Notes: My first attempt at Numb3rs fic… maybe that should be under a ‘warning’ heading ;). I didn’t get all of damerel’s prompt into this, but I did manage to get some angst and some handcuffs in there. I was actually hoping I would get this prompt, because I’ve had a plot bunny hoping around ever since seeing Ultimatum.

I have to admit that I tweaked the ep a little. I felt it finished a little too neatly, with everything seemingly resolved ready for the reset button the following ep. Fair enough, that’s how TV shows work, but I wanted to make things a bit less tidy – this wasn’t something Colby would just shake off once he was out of the prison. I planned to make Ian grovel more than he ended up doing, but hey-ho.

Also, I have no idea how quickly Ian would’ve been released, so it may be a bit unrealistically quick.

Lastly, I’m not very good at titles, but this one amused me because not only is it the aftermath of the episode, but, technically, it’s also after math. *vbg*

Then I also signed up for ancientcitybingo and stared at my card for two months trying to decide if it fit any of the squares. It didn’t seem to, which is why I went for the author’s choice wildcard square. Now I just have to come up with something for the other four squares in the row…
